The IANE School Board reviews policies and rules regarding the operation of the Academy. The school board consists of 7 members from which a school committee and other committees are formed. The president of the Academy is an elected member by the Board of Directors of the Islamic Academy of New England. The vice president, treasurer and general secretary are appointed by the president and approved by the School Board. The board meetings are scheduled monthly or more frequently, if necessary. Decisions of the School Board are based upon recommendations made by school committees, the principal, or by one or more of the committee members. Decisions are made by consensus or by a majority vote. The members of the School Board do not receive financial compensation for their activity as Board members.
